Decoy is a powerful and early maturing dog who, after a second place in the 15-18 month class at the 2017 GRCA National specialty, finished quickly with limited showing.  Dense in bone and dripping in correct coat, he is a rich medium gold color. Although he has a lot of it, Decoy’s coat is truly “wash and go”, is straight, and easily maintained.

Decoy moves exceptionally light on his feet using an easy open gait and is clean coming and going. He has good prosternum, depth of body and well sprung ribs.  Decoy has a beautiful return of upper arm with a nicely and properly laid-back shoulder. His lovely front-end assembly combined with matching rear angles are what give him effortless side gait with good reach.  A short back and loin, an ideal length of hock and powerful hips generate good drive and efficiency of movement. Decoy’s straight top line and a tail carriage that is straight off his back give him a classic golden silhouette.

Decoy has a beautiful head piece with a correct  sissor bite and full dentition. Dark round eyes that are set within well-set ears express his gentle nature and incredible focus.  Born an old soul he provides companionship to a geriatric family.  Decoy works as a competent service and therapy dog. Easily trainable, Decoy is a gentle, joyful fellow who has enthusiasm for any job or adventure.
